Mga Kapatid, translated as "My Brothers & Sisters" from Tagalog, is the Filipino American student association at the University of California, Davis.
Since 1969, Mga Kapatid has committed itself to open minds, eyes, and hearts by providing the community with personal, social, academic, and cultural experiences in order to build unity and develop a deeper appreciation, understanding, and respect for the Filipino and Filipino American cultures and heritages.
Mga Kapatid is home to the amazing hip-hop dance team MK Modern, and the wonderfully vintage MK Dance Troupe, as well as the beautiful harmony better known as MK Choir. In addition, Mga Kapatid hosts the annual Pilipino Culture Night (PCN), and puts out a quarterly newsletter called Balitaan.
